Roulette Dares (The Haunt of) CITAZIONE Even know I was expecting a carbon copy of the show 2 nights prior I was still excited as all hell for this show. I was surprised at how empty the venue was though. We were told by a friend who'd purchased a ticket on the day that she got ticket 1700. The venue holds 4-5000 people..
I don't know if the band were upset with the lack of crowd or what but they just didn't seem into it on the night. There wasn't much energy onstage at all. They didn't seem like they wanted to be playing the show: except when they were jamming. Maybe it was me even I don't know. But it just didn't feel like a Mars Volta show. It definitely sits as one of the more forgettable shows I've seen in a while.
Again, Cotopaxi and Viscera dominated. And the Cicatriz jam is epic as always. But apart from that there isn't too much of interest. The end of The Widow was pretty funny. And sparked something in the band who smiled and laughed as a result during Roulette.
