Omar produttore per le messicane Butcherettes

As you may remember, Omar mentioned on a recent interview (in spanish) that he met two girls from a band called Le Butcherettes. I was just talking to a friend of mine (from Mexico) and he told me Omar is going to produce their next record, apparently to be released on 2010. He gave me this link.

they're like an all female white stripes from mexico

i hope it's not the band i saw open for the dead weather.

they were not very good.

the singer was the androgenous looking girl wearing a puritan outfit, and i couldn't understand anything she said.

it may have partially been the sound for their show, not that good, the quality of the sound for the dead weather was about a million times better.

and i dont think le butcherettes are together anymore

it takes someone like omar to make that style of music fill an album

Omar is going to produce Le Butcherettes first LP... we begin recording sessions around December 17 @ Zapopan, Jalisco.

The stuff you can hear in Le Butcherettes' Myspace is kindy blah, really old songs and the production is awful. Those songs are from when she was 15 (she's 20 now, really young). Omar saw them live in Guadalajara last december and he was impressed, she has a very powerful live show... She's really talented, I think Omar saw that in her...

Most people love Le Butcherettes and some really hate them... but I think it's gonna be something to listen to when it's out, probably in March 2010.
