Usiamo questo topic per scrivere titoli di album/canzoni a cui hanno contibuito i membri della band (mi riferisco soprattutto ai fan dei RHCP, mi risulta che Omar abbia suonato in qualche pezzo degli album solisti di Frusciante)

Comincio io con una novità dalla GSL:

Omar e Ikey suonano in 2 canzoni (Ikey in una, Omar in un'altra) del EP di debutto del duo hip hop Coaxial (canzone dei De Facto, tanto per cambiare), che sarò distribuito dalla GSL probabilmente in estate e conterrà in tutto 5 pezzi.

Cedric canta nell'album-tributo ai Black Flag Rise Above: 24 Black Flag Songs to Benefit the West Memphis Three , la canzone è I've had it.

allora... Omar suona in "Chances" e "23 Go Into End" ("Shadows Collide With people" - WEA 2004), in "666" ("Inside of Emptiness" - Record Collection/WEA 2004) e in Lever Pulled” e “Anne” ("Curtains" - Record Collection/WEA 2005).
mi sembra non ci sia altro

We're pleased to announce the 7th installment of our 12th anniversary mailorder 7" series for July 2005 - SABERTOOTH TIGER. The Los Angeles trio will contribute 2 songs ("Death Valley" b/w "Love Money") recently recorded at Alex Newport's Hot Head Studio. The band consists of Aaron Farley and Chris Burnett joined by guest drummer Jon Theodore of GOLDEN (oh yeah, and THE MARS VOLTA). Ho comprato l'ep in questione, The Phantom Syndrome (qui potete scaricare il brano Brain Sluts), vi farò sapere che ne penso...

Intanto, su Interpunk, ho scoperto che Ikey suona le tastiere nell'album Duke of Arkansas di Jason Morphew (2003), ecco la copertina e la descrizione:

Il prossimo disco della band sarà prodotto da Matt Bayles,e vanterà alcuni musicisti ospiti tra i quali Scott Kelly dei Neurosis e Cedric Bixler Zavala dei The Mars Volta, ed uscirà ad agosto.

I Mars Volta al gran completo collaborano al nuovo disco di El-P, I'll Sleep When You're Dead, precisamente nel brano Tasmanian Pain Coaster, per saperne di più c'è la discussione sul disco qui.

Esce l'8 agosto su GSL Extinction is inevitable, primo lp dei Sabertooth Tiger. Interessante, per noi, perché in 4 tracce alla batteria c'è Jon Theodore che sarà pure fuori dai TMV ma visto che le registrazioni di questo album risalgono al 2005...Prodotto da Alex Newport, già produttore di Tremulant, ecco la tracklist:

Omar partecipa al nuovo disco di Erykah Badu, suona la chitarra nel brano Twinkle:
