| Suonata per la prima volta a Chicago, ieri sera descrizione della struttura del pezzo da parte di un comatoriano: CITAZIONE It was a slow, but heavy groove in 4. Very bass-guitar-drum driven. I would actually call it the one of the most standard-sounding songs I've heard by them, it was the closest thing they've ever done to heavy metal (although it was still far, far from heavy metal, basically there was just a lot of weight to the sound of this song).
The song structure was also a pretty basic Viscera Eyes-style verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus, except the verses were LONG. A lot of singing, although I was up close so the vocals were muffled, all I picked up was something about ears being cut off. The whole verse was driven by one heavy riff, kinda like Viscera Eyes, although this song was far less latin than Viscera. On the whole I'd say it was like much heavier mesh of Viscera and Vermicide, another song that this song channels, although it's much better (don't worry Vermicide haters, you'll dig this song.)
The Chorus was AWESOME. It had so crazy offbeat syncopation going on, and a different, really awesome lick supporting it. Wow. I wish I could remember everything, and knew what Cedric was saying. Finally, the bridge was just the main riff with a guitar solo, and boy did that solo kick seriously large amounts of ass. Like, we're talking house-burning, here-comes-the-four-horseman awesome. It was the absolute highlight of the song. The song seemed to end as it began, from what I can remember, which is to say it started and stopped with the main riff .Something tells me this song will be built upon for the final version on the 4th album, although it could end up being unchanged structurally, just like the Widow from it's Wiltern debut to FTM. magari sarà una b-side di qualche singolo di amputechture... attendiamo bootleg
