GSL is very pleased to announce the forthcoming release of a very special record, a collaboration between Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Damo Suzuki of the legendary band CAN. Entitled "Please Heat This Eventually", the vinyl-only 12" EP will be released in early December and initially available through mailorder only. It will be properly released to stores in early 2007. The recording features musical contributions from the OR-L Quintet (Juan Alderete de la Pena, Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez, Money Mark Nishita and Adrian Terrazas Gonzales).

la cosa è strana perché pare che Damo non sappia assolutamente nulla riguardo a questa release...

poiché non credo stia sparando una balla, il mio pensiero è che questo ep possa contenere il brano dal vivo (18 minuti, se non sbaglio) che Damo improvvisò con l'Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Quintet (di cui gli altri membri nella formazione dal vivo erano proprio Juan Alderete de la Pena, Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez, Money Mark Nishita e Adrian Terrazas Gonzales) nel concerto di Colonia del novembre 2005 (che potete reperire sul bootleg del concerto, disponibile su comatorium...)

Oltretutto, come potrebbe essere un lavoro in studio se Damo ormai si dedica solo ai concerti? comunque, per la cronaca, se il brano è proprio quello fatto dal vivo a Colonia, dura quasi 22 minuti...

Beh, In teoria se il brano è stato registrato da Omar non credo servano ulteriori consensi per pubblicarlo...però pure un sms lo poteva mandare a Damo, eh!
