| CITAZIONE (Stephen Dedalus @ 14/2/2008, 20:33) beh, avercene di più, di questi onanisti! dico, mica è tassativo il passaggio 'live' di ogni progetto.. considera lo sbattimento (fisico e logistico) che comporta un qualsiasi tour, anche medio-piccolo. mica un artista può selezionare le collaborazioni in base alla possibilità di fare i tour.. spesso entrambi (o più di due) i musicisti trovano il tempo per registrare in momenti liberi fra i vari tour, inoltre proprio la freschezza di questi progetti è dovuta all'immediatezza (una botta e via  ). cioè, considera l'eventuale impossibilità per Omar e Zach di organizzare un tour insieme (mica Omar c'ha le settimane di vacanza ).. direi che è meglio avere anche solo il disco, piuttosto che niente. viva la musica, viva l'onanismo dunque. basterebbe anche tipo solo 4 o 5 date,ma organizzate e performate SERIAMENTE. Medeski Martin & Wood are planning 3 tours, plus 3 albums in 2008. Each tour and subsequent album will consist of all NEW MUSIC. The plan: Write > Tour > Record > Repeat. Bucking the traditional process of recording an album, THEN touring after its release. The band feels this new approach for 2008 will lend itself to their way of performing and developing music. On Feb. 14, MMW will get together for 5 days to write new material for their Northeast tour, Feb. 19 - 29. Directly following the tour they will head into the studio to record the music developed on the road. Each body of new material will be unique to each tour (if you see it in New York, you won't see it in Los Angeles). Some of the material may make it into the band's festival sets, but the bulk of it will only be performed during the specified tour period. [non mi dire "eh però loro sono un gruppo" |
